WW Update – Weeks 50 & 51

For the past 2 weeks, I’ve done something I haven’t done all year – I missed my WW meeting.  Last week, my husband got home so ridiculously late due to traffic, I was unable to attend the meeting.  This week, it was Memorial Day and our WW center was closed.  Granted, I could try and make another meeting, but, I won’t.  Next Monday begins Week 52.  That means I’ve been doing WW for 1 year now.  And I don’t like what I see.  Yes, I’ve lost weight and yes, I’ve kept it off.  But, 27 pounds in 52 weeks isn’t great.  I can lose more.  Maintaining is good.  Losing is better.  So, along with some of my other WW friends out there, I am reaffirming my pledge to the program.  As of today, June 1, I’m back on track.  No slacking off.  No crap eating.  Tracking.  I want to lose more weight and no one can help me do that but ME.  So, here’s to hoping that the next year is even better than this one has been.

WW Update – Week 49

Well, as I always say, a no gain week is a good week.  As of today, I’m seriously back on track…..and by track, I mean tracking.  Clearly, I can maintain when not writing down my points, but I’m not losing.  So, back to the ball and chain book tracker book, I go!

WW Update – Week 48

I tried….really, I did.  And frankly after an “Ocho de Mayo” party on Saturday AND Mother’s Day on Sunday, I think this was a good week for me.  Not only was I expecting the scale to be majorly up from the parties, I had long pants and a long sleeve shirt on due to the weather.  Last week, I weighed-in in shorts.  I’ve been trying to walk as much as possible when I have the chance.  I started this week out on a good note this morning.  I did about a mile and a half walking back and forth to the German consulate to pick up my dad’s passport and I’ll walk again to the bus station on the way home (another mile).  Every little bit helps, as evidenced by my very small weight gain this week.

WW Update – Week 47

Every week I feel that the Diet Devils put someone in my path that is just destined to ruin my weigh-in.  This week, that person was Chuck E. Cheese.  Damn you, Chuck E.  Why must your pizzas be so large and tasty???!!!  I tell you – every time I dig into those 35 extra points, not only do I not lose weight, I gain it.  So this week, it is back to salads and zero point soups – FOR REAL.  I’m getting so disappointed each week when I see that week number go up and my weight lost go down.  Time to DIET UP!!!

WW Update- Week 46

Yeah, yeah, I know.  I’m back off the wagon – but I have lots of good excuses this week – 1) 90th birthday party for my husband’s grandmother with little healthy food options AND cake, 2) rain = no walking, 3) getting ready for house guests left little time for exercise.  Now, I’m back to thinking about how good last week’s loss felt and about the pre-kids wardrobe I’m still hoping to get into before November!
