WW Update – Week 42

This week I had an expected gain.  I dove into my 35 flex points and I know that when I do that, I’m destined for a gain.  And this time, I used all of them.  I went to a tricky tray last week where I ate like a queen AND won 2 prizes (kids’ craft stuff and gift certificates to go eat – the diet gods are definitely laughing at that one).  Oh and did I mention that my aunt and uncle in Germany sent an Easter chocolate package again – ala the Christmas one???  I’m totally screwed!  Well – maybe not for next week, since I already ate most of the good chocolate that had my name on it.  DOH!

WW Update – Week 41

Total weight lost so far : 26.6 pounds

I honestly was shocked when I was told I lost weight at weigh-in.  My body & hormones have been doing crazy things again and I feel so bloated, I thought for sure I gained.  But, alas my diet angels were on my shoulders lifting me off of the scale.  I must admit, I didn’t do much tracking last week, however, I did one thing that I think saved my ass big time.  Remember those cupcakes I made for St. Patty’s day?  I threw away the leftovers so I wouldn’t eat them.  It was so hard for me to do.  I grew up in one of those families where no food got wasted and still doesn’t.  I think that is often part of my problem of knowing when to stop eating and realizing that I’m already full.  But, I had to and I did.  I’m a bit disappointed that I’m not hitting my goal of 1 pound a week, but I’m still losing and that IS a good thing. Onward and DOWNWARD!

WW Update – Week 40

Pounds lost in Week 40: .4 pounds

Total weight lost so far : 26.0 pounds

Not a great week, but no gain, either.  Works for me and I’ll take it.  I have almost recouped the weight I gained back.  2.2 pounds didn’t seem like much, but my best weight loss so far was 26.2 pounds and I’m almost back there with more weight loss to come!  I also am donating more of my fat clothes that are now too big, so there is no going back now – not that I’d want to!

WW Update – Week 39

Pounds lost in Week 39: 1.4 pounds

Total weight lost so far : 25.6 pounds

This week was a wash of last week.  I lost the exact 1.4 pounds I gained last week.  I don’t know if that was because I was good and tracked and even took a walk this weekend or because it was my body normalizing out after last week’s hormonal debacle.  Needless to say, I started this week off well with a mile walk this morning.  I’m hoping to continue a new exercise regime (at least on the 3 days I go to work) because I know this is the kick-start that my body needs to get out of its rut.

WW Update – Week 38

Dear Body,

Have I told you how much you SUCK lately?  Let’s forget about the fact that I gained weight this week, which I believe is largely in part due to the fact that I have massive bloating, unbearable migraines and sweet/salty cravings from having my period for the SECOND time this month.  I’ve also put aside any bad feelings about the acne/allergy mess you’ve dumped on my face for the past 20 years.  Um Hello?  I’m 34, not 14!  I take good care of you.  I don’t smoke.  I don’t drink.  I more or less eat healthy and I try to get some exercise.  But, you continue to throw me curveballs.  I’ve seen every specialist under the sun and while they all tell me I look great on paper, my outwardly appearance would suggest otherwise (Was I some sort of vain bitch in a past life?).  Can’t we come to a better arrangement?  Pretty Please?
