Rock of Ages
Last night, my mom treated me to a broadway show for my birthday. She picked up tickets at the TKTSbooth in Times Square. I sent her with a short list of shows I wanted to see. Rock of Ages was at the top of my list and she got killer seats. We were 6 rows from the stage. It was AWESOME! In case you don’t know anything about the show, it’s about how in 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small town girl met a big city rocker and in LA’s most famous rock club, they fell in love to the greatest songs of the 80s. The show included music from JOURNEY, NIGHT RANGER, STYX, REO SPEEDWAGON, PAT BENATAR, TWISTED SISTER, POISON, ASIA, WHITESNAKE and many more. I’m not much of an American Idol fan and don’t know much about him, but Constantine Maroulis killed it as the lead. He was KICK-ASS! As were many of his co-stars! I highly recommend seeing this show. It is fun, uplifting and there is no way you will leave the place without a smile on your face! Even my mom (and all the other old people there) were rockin’ out! Best show I’ve seen in a long time!
