WW Update - Week 45

Pounds lost in Week 45: 2 pounds

Total weight lost so far : 28.2 pounds

Florida pre-kids wardrobe HERE I COME!  Finally, my added exercise is appearing on the scale.  I’ve been out running around (a lot!) with the kids and trying to incorporate some aerobics whenever I have a chance.

And hey - guess what my WW magazine told me this month???  People that carry their weight in their hips and thighs have a reduced risk for diabetes and heart disease because lower-body fat traps harmful fatty acids, which contribute to a number of diseases, more effectively than belly fat.  Best news I’ve heard lately about the junk in my trunk!

WW Update - Week 44

Pounds lost in Week 44: .6 pounds

Total weight lost so far : 26.2 pounds

Today’s WW update is brought to you by the letter Y for Yo-Yo.  This week was a good week with a loss, but I was a bit disappointed by how small the loss actually was.  I was hardcore with my tracking this week and I even walked to the bus station after work 2 days this week - something I haven’t done in a long time - and I didn’t even lose a full pound.  It just goes to show you that some weeks you can do everything right and the scale still isn’t what you think it should be.  I’m hoping that next week the extra exercise I’m trying to fit in will finally show up on the scale.

Got a Superhero Fan?

Superhero ABC

After ordering some Superhero party supplies on Amazon for CheezWaster’s birthday, this book by Bob Mcleod appeared in my list of suggested items.  Last week, I took advantage of the 4 for 3 book deal and purchased it to put in CheezWaster’s Easter basket.  I wasn’t sure how it was going to go over at first given there aren’t any “big name” Superheroes in the book, but CheezWaster loved it.  AND it is a great learning tool as well.  There is a page for each letter and on each page there is a superhero that corresponds to that letter.  In the description of the superhero, it uses as many words as possible with the corresponding letter.  The graphics are great and any child who loves comics or superheroes would gladly have this as an addition to their library!

WW Update - Week 43

Pounds lost in Week 43: -.2 pounds

Total weight lost so far : 25.6 pounds

Another week of expected gains due to the Easter holiday and the MANY Easter baskets full of tempting chocolate we received.  Looking at the fact that I’ve been at this for almost a year and for the past few months, I’ve been gaining and losing the same 2 pounds, I’m going to kick it into gear this week.  I’m going back to tracking, which I’ve slacked off of as of late, and I’m trying to get out and exercise in the beautiful, warm weather we’ve been having.  There’s only 7 1/2 months left until our Florida vacation and I’ve still got a ways to go to lose the additional 35 pounds I’d like to lose.

My Apologies

I apologize for the lack of posts this past week.  As you can see, I’ve been painting and getting the house ready as I am hosting Easter.  There are million things I still have to do and I’m trying not to stress.  My new theory is as long as the house is relatively clean and the food & company are good, who cares about the rest, right?!  Not to mention it is end of the quarter, a very busy time for me at work, and I consistently feel like I am the only one that is not a procrastinator.  Anyway - next week should be better, where I’ll have posts on what I included in Easter Baskets, my Easter Table Decor, what home improvement project I’ll be tackling next and a few other odds and ends.  Until then, I hope the Easter Bunny hops on over to your house and leaves you some treats.  Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

*Not sure if you can see it in this photo, but The Destroyer is holding his bribe money - a $20 bill.  The mall at which we take our Santa/EB photos, has the holiday photo stations right next to the train and carousel rides.  I had to let The Destroyer hold the train money with the promise of a ride, just to get him to sit on the EB’s lap.  He wasn’t exactly happy, but at least he wasn’t crying!  Now if only they could do that with Santa! And check out CheezWaster - he’s wearing the free EB ears they gave out with the photos!
