WW Update - Week 29

Pounds lost in Week 29: .2 pound

Total weight lost so far : 24.2 pounds

Well, Christmas has come and gone and in the past 2 weeks, despite eating my fair share of crap, I’ve managed to lose a pound (.8 last week and .2 this week)!  WHOO-HOO!  I didn’t hit the 25 pound mark (again) like I had hoped, but I didn’t gain either and THAT really was the MAIN goal.  So, here is a to HAPPY, HEALTHY, CHOCK FULL OF WEIGHT LOSS NEW YEAR!

PS - Happy Anniversary to my weight loss partner in crime, Chris and her super-athletic (why can’t I run a 5K like him???) husband Brian!

WW Update - Week 28

Pounds lost in Week 28: .8 pound

Total weight lost so far : 24 pounds

This week was full of cookies, chocolates and treats (OH MY!) and I still did it!  I was cautious about everything I ate, while still enjoying a little of the festivities.  This week at my meeting, I purchased the WW point clicker.  I find lugging the 3 month tracker around to be a pain and for $5,  I was all about it.   I think I will be more inclined to get back on track in January with the help of the new point clicker.  Now the big decision - do I click up points or click down???

WW Update - Week 27

Pounds lost in Week 27: -.4 pound

Total weight lost so far : 23.2 pounds

I’d like to thank D, the host of the fabulous, annual cookie swap, as well as all of the ladies who made such tasty cookies.  The cookies, the sandwiches, the snacks and the day of girlie fun & friendship was TOTALLY worth a .4 gain!!!  This week’s motto is SALAD, SALAD, SALAD!  I’m still sticking with the plan of enjoying the holidays (and all that comes with them) and attempting to not gain (too much) weight by the end of December.

My Brisk Morning Jog

If you know anything about me or have read any of my dieting posts, you know that I am not a big fan of exercise - at least not the kind that you actually go out to do with full intentions.  I’m more of a sneaky exercise kind of girl…you know, the oh crap I had to park at the end of the mall parking lot because it is friggin Christmas insanity, but ooh look, I just got some exercise kind.  Well, this morning, I got some sneaky exercise in.  Last night, CheezWaster wore his footie pajamas (oh how we love footies!) and didn’t want to change out of them this morning before going to Oma & Opa’s house.  So, I took him over in his footies and put his shoes in my work bag (big mistake).  Of course, I forgot to take them out of my bag.  Then, Opa had to rush me up to the bus to make his dentist appt.  Thankfully, Oma realized that the shoes were missing just as I was about to get on the bus for work.  Since the kids were not ready to go out, I told her I would come home and drop off the shoes.  So, I started running - because I was already later than usual.  Now granted, my parents only live 3 blocks from the bus stop, but:

  1. I’m in my work clothes and work shoes - not exactly fit for running
  2. I have a backpack full of crap.
  3. It is 21 friggin degrees outside (which I love by the way, but not when my hood keeps flying off and my ears feel so cold it’s like there is a blowtorch on them)
  4. I don’t think I’ve run this much since about 7th grade (right before they told me I had a bum knee and couldn’t run in gym class anymore)

While I was shocked that I didn’t feel like I was going to die when I got to the house, I was more shocked at how awake and alive I felt.  Now I feel empowered and I think this might be the start of a beautiful exercise friendship - at least in the winter - I hate sweating even more than exercise!
