WW Update - Week 53

What a disappointing weight-in.  But, it truly was my own fault. 1) We took the kids to Great Wold Lodge and I ate absolutely NOTHING healthy.  2) Last week, I had one of those weeks where all I wanted was chocolate and crap food.  While, I tried to be good, I gave in to a few cravings.  But, Great Wolf was sort of an eye opener for me.  I had to put on a bathing suit.  And even though I’ve seen myself in my bathing suit before and not minded too much, this weekend, I just felt like I looked fat.  You know those weeks?  Sometimes I have them even when I lose weight.  I’m desperately trying to stick to the program and will hopefully do better this week.  I wanted to start doing some morning exercises this week, however, due to making an ass of myself on the rope walk at Great Wolf Lodge (though I did make it across the 3rd time), I have to wait until the muscles in my arms and legs stop screaming.

WW Update - Week 52

Happy WW Anniversary to me!  Yes, I have officially been doing WW for 1 year now.  This week, since I reaffirmed committing to the program, I was hoping for a larger weight loss, but .6 is still a loss and I’ll take it.  I’ve been really good about my tracking this week and will continue to count my points.  I’m also trying to fit in some more exercise by running around with the kids in the beautiful weather we’ve been having, as well as drinking my water, which is much easier to do when it is hot.

WW Update - Weeks 50 & 51

For the past 2 weeks, I’ve done something I haven’t done all year - I missed my WW meeting.  Last week, my husband got home so ridiculously late due to traffic, I was unable to attend the meeting.  This week, it was Memorial Day and our WW center was closed.  Granted, I could try and make another meeting, but, I won’t.  Next Monday begins Week 52.  That means I’ve been doing WW for 1 year now.  And I don’t like what I see.  Yes, I’ve lost weight and yes, I’ve kept it off.  But, 27 pounds in 52 weeks isn’t great.  I can lose more.  Maintaining is good.  Losing is better.  So, along with some of my other WW friends out there, I am reaffirming my pledge to the program.  As of today, June 1, I’m back on track.  No slacking off.  No crap eating.  Tracking.  I want to lose more weight and no one can help me do that but ME.  So, here’s to hoping that the next year is even better than this one has been.

WW Update - Week 49

Well, as I always say, a no gain week is a good week.  As of today, I’m seriously back on track…..and by track, I mean tracking.  Clearly, I can maintain when not writing down my points, but I’m not losing.  So, back to the ball and chain book tracker book, I go!

WW Update - Week 48

I tried….really, I did.  And frankly after an “Ocho de Mayo” party on Saturday AND Mother’s Day on Sunday, I think this was a good week for me.  Not only was I expecting the scale to be majorly up from the parties, I had long pants and a long sleeve shirt on due to the weather.  Last week, I weighed-in in shorts.  I’ve been trying to walk as much as possible when I have the chance.  I started this week out on a good note this morning.  I did about a mile and a half walking back and forth to the German consulate to pick up my dad’s passport and I’ll walk again to the bus station on the way home (another mile).  Every little bit helps, as evidenced by my very small weight gain this week.
